iPod Application
So I got the Wordpress iPod app. Maybe I’ll update more now that it’s so convenient. We’ll see.

As you may have noticed, the blog looks a bit different now. And you may have also noticed that you couldn’t access the site for a short time. We migrated from Lifetype to Wordpress for our blogging software. This makes it a whole lot easier to upload audio/video/photos, and it also allows users like you to create accounts to comment without having to enter your information each time.
Note: If you read by RSS (in which case you may already have seen the message), the new RSS link is different. It is now http://blog.scriptedfailures.com/feed
Easy enough to remember.
I tried to maintain all the entry and comment text, so if you see anything wrong, let me know.
We’ll have a real update soon.
So I’ve been listening to a lot of Cursive’s Domestica lately. It’s one of those records that just seems to go through frequent cycles of high-rotation. This time around, however, I paid attention more to the themes of the record and noticed more than a couple of parallels, so I decided to figure out once and for all what the common threads were in these songs and share them with you. The following table illustrates my findings:
| The Moon/Lunar Rape | Phone-Throwing | Holes/Digging | Water/Swimming/Drowning | “Pretty Baby” | |
| 1. The Casualty | 2 | 2 | 2 | 1 | |
| 3. Shallow Means, Deep Ends | 1 | 3 | |||
| 6. The Lament of Pretty Baby | 1 | 2 | |||
| 8. The Radiator Hums | 2 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
As you can see “The Radiator Hums” exemplifies the most of all of these common threads. I should do this for all of their albums (that is neither a threat, nor a promise).
I wrote this entry before we changed servers, so I had to write it again. I apologize to any RSS readers out there that might’ve gotten this twice.
We’ve been given a shout out on Overlawyered.com! I made a favicon for them and they linked to us. Check out the post here.

Well, here it is. The Scripted Failures Indie Music Blog. I’ve worked out the first template, and things are looking pretty good. LifeType is very nice. There are obviously still some kinks to work out, but this is it for the time being. If you feel like it, leave some comments. I do want to see if comment notification works. Also, anyone with an RSS reader can add the RSS/Atom feed (located at the bottom right of the page) and get notified when we post new updates. Expect the first review soon!
Later,
Jim
